How is my
Direct World Prepaid MasterCard®
better than cash? |
- Your Direct World
Prepaid Card can be used
at any Point of Sale
where MasterCard is
accepted.
- Withdrawals can be
made at any ATM bearing
the MasterCard, Interac
or Cirrus Acceptance Marks.
- Cash withdrawals
made outside of Canada
are automatically
converted into the local
currency.

Direct World Prepaid
MasterCard can be replaced.

When can I
begin using my card? |
After receiving your card and
activating it online you can
begin to use it immediately.

can I use my card? |
Anywhere MasterCard is
accepted.

Are there any
limits on how much money I can
store on my card? |
Yes, you can load
personal funds up to a maximum
account balance of $2,500.00. In
addition, your employer can
direct deposit your wages to a
maximum amount of $10,000.00
onto your card.

Are there any limits on how much I can purchase with my card or withdraw from my card account in a single transaction? |
The maximum daily purchase at
a merchant point of sale is
$10,000.00. The maximum
withdrawal at an ATM is
$2,500.00, however each ATM
has maximum limits as well,
set by the financial
institution the ATM is tied
to.

Can I use my card at an ATM? |
Yes. You can make withdrawals
and retrieve an account
balance however you can not
deposit any funds into your
card account through the ATM.

How can I ensure that my card will always work at a retail terminal? |
Make sure you activate your
card online, have sufficient funds in your account to cover your purchase, and ensure you protect the magnetic stripe on the back of your card.

Will my card expire? |
|
Yes.
Prepaid Cards have a 24 month
expiry date.
|

|
Will I
still be able to return and get
a refund for things I buy with
my Direct World Prepaid MasterCard? |
Yes. Using a
Direct World Prepaid
MasterCard to pay for your
purchase does not alter the
store's refund policy.
The merchant will be able to
refund your money back onto
your Prepaid Card.

What is
the process to activate the
Direct World Prepaid MasterCard? |
Once you
receive your new Direct World
Prepaid MasterCard, follow the instructions on the
card. You will login at www.ecomcards.com and enter
your 16 digit card number and
5 digit CID number found on
the card carrier. You will be
prompted to enter your
Activation Code which was
supplied to you in the email
from Direct World when you
purchased your card. You will
also be asked for some
personal information
matching what you previously
supplied on your application.
Your identity will be
immediately confirmed and you
will be requested to provide
an e-mail address and to
select a Personal
Identification Number (PIN) to
enable ATM access. Your card
will now be activated.

Can I choose a new PIN? |
Yes.
|
|
|
What happens I forget or lose my PIN? |
You can create a new PIN by
going to www.ecomcards.com.
Log-In with your card number
and CID number and select the
“Change PIN” option.

|
Can someone else use my card? |
Yes. You should treat your
card like cash. If your card
is lost or stolen, it is
possible for the funds to be
used by anyone who finds it
until you cancel the card.
Report your lost or stolen
card immediately through
www.ecomcards.com or by
calling Toll Free
1-866-326-6227 to minimize
your loss..
